Snow disrupts Covid-19 vaccine program in parts of the UK

London, Feb 8 (EFE-EPA).- Heavy snowfall and cold temperatures forced the closure of schools and several Covid-19 vaccinations centers in the United Kingdom on Monday.

London and southeast England are set to be among the worst-hit areas of Great Britain as a cold front, dubbed Storm Darcy in the UK, sweeps in from the east.

Much of the UK is on yellow alert for snow, while parts of eastern England are on amber alert, the second level in the three-tier warning system.

The frigid conditions forced the temporary closure of vaccine centers in Clacton and Colchester, in southeast England, and Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds in the east.EFE/EPA
