Woman’s body found at railyard might have been left overnight
(LPL/FOX13) – Una mujer fue encontrada muerta el jueves por la mañana en una terminal ferroviaria en el sur de Memphis, informó la policía.
La Policía de Memphis (MPD) informó que los agentes respondieron poco después de las 8 a. m. a una llamada de persona sospechosa en el número 1021 de Melrose Street, donde se ubicaba la estación de ferrocarril Union Pacific, y encontraron a la mujer muerta.
Aunque los investigadores aún indagan las circunstancias de su muerte, el MPD la calificó como homicidio.
El teniente William Acred declaró a FOX13 que el cuerpo de la mujer fue encontrado detrás de una valla que rodeaba lo que parecía un accidente. El teniente también indicó que el cuerpo podría haber sido abandonado allí durante la noche.
Se cree que la mujer tenía unos 20 años, informó la policía.

(LPL/FOX13) – A woman was found dead Thursday morning at a railyard in South Memphis, police said.
Memphis Police (MPD) said officers responded just after 8 a.m. to a “suspicious person call” at 1021 Melrose Street — the location of Union Pacific Railroad — and found a woman had died.
Though investigators were still looking into the circumstances surrounding her death, MPD called it a homicide.
Lt. William Acred told FOX13 that the woman’s body was found behind a fence surrounding what looked like a crash. The police lieutenant also said the body might have been left there overnight.
The woman was believed to have been in her 20s, police said.
