Two infants hurt in Frayser apartment fire
(LPL/FOX13) – Un incendio en un apartamento en Frayser la mañana del jueves dejó dos bebés heridos, según el Departamento de Bomberos de Memphis (MFD).
El incendio se desató en los apartamentos Corning Village en la calle Steele alrededor de las 7 a. m., informó el MFD. Ambos niños sufrieron heridas leves y fueron trasladados al Hospital Infantil Le Bonheur. Un portavoz del departamento de bomberos indicó que un bebé sufrió quemaduras leves y el otro recibió tratamiento por inhalación de humo. El MFD indicó que el incendio también hirió a un adulto, quien fue trasladado a la Unidad Regional de Quemados con quemaduras leves.
El incendio solo afectó a una familia, informó el MFD.
Horas después del incendio, aún era demasiado pronto para determinar cómo se originó.
El MFD informó que el edificio de apartamentos afectado por el incendio es una pérdida total y estaba completamente envuelto en llamas cuando llegaron los bomberos.

(LPL/FOX13) – An apartment fire in Frayser Thursday morning injured two infants, according to the Memphis Fire Department (MFD).
The fire broke out at the Corning Village Apartments on Steele Street around 7 a.m., MFD said. Both of the children suffered minor injuries and were taken to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital. A spokesperson for the fire department said one infant suffered minor burns and the other was treated for smoke inhalation. MFD said the fire also injured an adult who was taken to the Regional One Burn Unit with minor burns.
The fire only affected one family, MFD said.
Hours after the fire, it was still too early to determine how the fire started.
MFD said the apartment building affected by the fire is a “total loss” and was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived.
