Accidente en la I-240 a la altura de la Getwell dejó saldo de una mujer muerta y otras dos heridas

(LPL) – Una mujer murió y otras dos resultaron heridas en un accidente que involucró varios vehículos la mañana del jueves en la autopista I-240, al este de Getwell Road, según informó el Departamento de Policía de Memphis (MPD).

El hecho ocurrió poco después de las 5:30 a.m., cuando los agentes respondieron al reporte de un choque múltiple en los carriles hacia el este de la I-240. En el lugar, las autoridades confirmaron la muerte de una mujer.

Otras dos mujeres fueron trasladadas a un hospital; una de ellas se encuentra en estado crítico, mientras que la otra sufrió heridas no graves y se espera que se recupere.

Imágenes de las cámaras del Departamento de Transporte de Tennessee (TDOT) mostraron que un camión de gran tamaño estuvo involucrado en el accidente.

Hasta el momento, la policía no ha divulgado más información sobre las causas del siniestro ni la identidad de las víctimas.

Woman dead, two others injured in I-240 crash

(LPL) – One woman died and two others were injured in a multi-vehicle crash Thursday morning on I-240 east of Getwell Road, according to the Memphis Police Department (MPD).

The incident occurred shortly after 5:30 a.m., when officers responded to reports of a multi-vehicle collision on the eastbound lanes of I-240. Authorities confirmed at the scene that one woman had died in the crash.

Two other women were taken to a hospital — one in critical condition and the other with non-life-threatening injuries.

Images from the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) cameras showed that a large truck was involved in the crash.

So far, police have not released further details about the cause of the accident or the identities of the victims.
