Será homenajeado en la Ceremonia de Premios al Mérito Especial el sábado 1 de febrero, antes de la 67.ª edición anual de los Premios Grammy.

(LPL/TSD) – Adrian L. Maclin, the acclaimed director of the Cordova High School Choir, has been named the 2025 recipient of the Music Educator Award, an honor bestowed by the Recording Academy and the Grammy Museum.
The announcement, first reported by CBS News, recognizes Maclin’s unwavering dedication to music education and the transformative impact he has had on his students.
Maclin, who has directed the Cordova High School choral program for 12 years, was selected from a competitive field of educators from across the country. He will be honored at the Special Merit Awards Ceremony on Saturday, Feb. 1, prior to the 67th Annual Grammy Awards.
“Known for his philosophy of fostering a ‘choir family’ rather than just a choir class, Maclin emphasizes life lessons along with musical excellence. His dedication has had a positive impact on many students, with many considering him a father figure in their lives,” Memphis-Shelby County Schools (MSCS) said in a statement.
Maclin’s instruction has led his choir students to perform across the country throughout his 20-year career.
“We are incredibly proud to have a teacher like Adrian Maclin in Memphis-Shelby County Schools. His passion, leadership, and commitment inspire his students and the Cordova community,” MSCS said.
