(LPL/FOX13) – Un bebé de apenas 8 meses murió y otras cuatro personas resultaron heridas después de un accidente en la Interestatal 40 en el noreste de Memphis que cerró el tráfico durante varias horas el viernes por la mañana, dijo la policía.
El accidente de tres vehículos ocurrió alrededor de las 5:15 a.m. en la I-40 entre las carreteras Appling y Whitten.
El niño viajaba con un hombre y una mujer en un vehículo, dijo la policía, mientras que los otros dos vehículos estaban ocupados por un hombre.

(LPL/WREG) – An 8-month-old child was killed and four other people were injured after a crash on Interstate 40 in northeast Memphis that shut down traffic for several hours Friday morning, police said.
The three-vehicle crash happened around 5:15 a.m. on I-40 between Appling and Whitten roads.
The child was traveling with a man and a woman in one vehicle, police said, while the other two vehicles were occupied by a man.
Police said the baby was taken to Le Bonheur in critical condition but later died from his injuries. Three adults were also taken to Regional One Hospital in non-critical condition.
Police said they were still investigating what led to the crash.
In a traffic alert, MPD said all westbound lanes on I-40 were closed as crews continued to investigate the crash. Drivers were asked to use alternate routes.
