(LPL/WREG) – Una mujer saltó del puente de la I-40 el miércoles a las 11:23 a. m., según el Departamento de Policía de Memphis.
El Departamento de Policía de West Memphis dijo que la mujer estacionó su auto en el puente y luego saltó al río. La Patrulla Portuaria del MPD la encontró en el agua y la llevó a un hospital en estado crítico.
La mujer recibirá una evaluación psicológica, dijeron los funcionarios.
El WMPD dijo que un niño está a salvo y con su padre en otro lugar. Un miembro de la familia aclaró más tarde que el niño no estaba en el puente.

(LPL/WREG) – A woman jumped off the I-40 bridge on Wednesday at 11:23 a.m., according to the Memphis Police Department.
The West Memphis Police Department said the woman parked her car on the bridge and then jumped into the river. She was found in the water by the MPD Harbor Patrol and taken to a hospital in critical condition.
The woman will receive a psychological evaluation, officials said.
The WMPD said a child is safe and with their father at another location. A family member later clarified that the child was not on the bridge.
The Crittenden County Sheriff’s Office and the MPD are handling the situation.
