(LPL/WREG) – Una serie de crímenes violentos azotó la ciudad de Memphis mientras el Departamento de Policía respondía a al menos cinco tiroteos en los que murieron al menos tres personas, todos en un lapso de siete horas.
La violencia comenzó poco antes de las 5:30 p. m. del martes y se prolongó hasta la madrugada.
Un hombre fue asesinado a tiros frente a un restaurante de comida rápida en Frayser. Fue encontrado en un McDonald’s en la calle Thomas.
Tan solo dos horas después, la policía acudió al centro comercial Frayser Village, en la esquina de Frayser y Rangeline, en relación con un tiroteo.

(LPL/WREG) -A series of violent crimes hit Memphis as the Police Department responded to at least five shootings in which at least three people were killed, all within a seven-hour span.
The violence began shortly before 5:30 p.m. Tuesday and continued into the early morning hours.
A man was shot and killed outside a fast-food restaurant in Frayser. He was found at a McDonald’s on Thomas Street.
Just two hours later, police responded to the Frayser Village Shopping Center, at the corner of Frayser and Rangeline, in connection with a shooting.
It is still unknown if anyone was injured in this shooting.
An hour later, around 8 p.m., police were called to a home for a fatal shooting on Cleoford Avenue. Police reported two people were killed. One person was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Local news channel WREG recently spoke with Memphis Mayor Paul Young after another deadly shooting. He said scenes like these are disheartening.
“It infuriates me, I’m not going to tolerate it,” he said.
But just after midnight, the violence continued.
In south Memphis, another shooting was reported on South Wellington Street. It is not yet known if anyone was injured at the scene.
Just 15 minutes later, officers were in Whitehaven for another shooting.
Duct tape was placed at a gas station on Airways Boulevard, just south of East Shelby Drive. There, officers could be seen covering what appeared to be a body.
No suspect information has been released in either of these shootings. However, these are developing stories. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
