(LPL) – La intervención de familiares y algunos vecinos evitó que hombres vestidos con chalecos de US Marshalls y Sherrifs se llevaran a un hombre inocente la tarde de ayer en la calle Rockwood de Memphis.

En un video compartido en las redes sociales, se puede ver a varias mujeres increpando a los supuestos agentes sobre si tenían alguna orden de detención u otro documento para poder entrar a la casa y llevarse a la persona que estaban buscando. Al final del video, se puede ver incluso que los agentes entran a la casa, cierran la puerta y luego la abren para tomar fuertemente de los brazos a una de las personas que estaba grabando, con la intención de arrestarla.

Al final, los supuestos agentes no se llevaron a nadie, según indicó María Oceja, de Vecindarios 901, ya que la persona que se encontraba en la casa, no era la que supuestamente estaban buscando.

“Están violando todos nuestros derechos, es una pena”, indicó Oceja. “Se están comportando igual que los Nazis, llevándose a la gente solo por su origen. Ojalá que esto pare pronto porque se están llevando a la gente de su casa, se están llevando a la gente de las cortes, de sus trabajos, es realmente inhumano”, añadió Oceja.

“El señor que se querían llevar no tenía récord criminal ni nada, es un señor trabajador, inocente. Menos mal que no se llevaron a nadie”. expresó.

(LPL) – The intervention of family members and some neighbors prevented men wearing US Marshals and Sheriff vests from taking an innocent man yesterday afternoon on Rockwood Street in Memphis.

In a video shared on social media, several women can be seen questioning the alleged officers about whether they had an arrest warrant or other document to enter the house and take the person they were looking for. At the end of the video, the officers can even be seen entering the house, closing the door, and then opening it to forcefully grab one of the people they were filming by the arms, intending to arrest them.

In the end, the alleged officers did not take anyone, according to María Oceja of Vecindarios 901, since the person in the house was not the person they were supposedly looking for.

“They are violating all our rights, it’s a shame,” Oceja said. “They’re behaving like the Nazis, taking people away just because of their origins. I hope this stops soon because they’re taking people from their homes, from the courts, from their jobs—it’s truly inhumane,” Oceja added.

“The man they wanted to take didn’t have a criminal record or anything; he’s a hardworking, innocent man. Thank goodness they didn’t take anyone,” she said.
