(LPL/FOX13) – Un hombre buscado por matar a la madre de su hijo y disparar a sus dos hijos durante el fin de semana en el condado de Tunica fue hallado muerto, confirmó la oficina del sheriff este martes.
La Oficina del Sheriff del Condado de Tunica (TCSO) informó que los restos de Markell Braxton, de 41 años, fueron encontrados el lunes por la tarde en una zona boscosa detrás de una casa en Solei Drive, Robinsonville, Mississippi.
La TCSO había vinculado previamente a Braxton con un tiroteo ocurrido el viernes por la noche en la casa de Solei Drive, donde murió Nykeria Jude, de 30 años, y resultaron heridos una niña de 6 años y un hombre de 24. La familia había informado previamente a los medios locales que las dos personas heridas eran los hijos de Braxton y que la mujer era una de sus madres.
El cuerpo de Braxton fue encontrado poco después de las 4:40 p. m. del lunes por agentes de la TSCSO y el Servicio de Alguaciles de EE. UU. Se desconoce de inmediato la causa de su muerte. TSCO informó que los restos de Braxton se enviarían al Laboratorio Criminalístico de Mississippi para su identificación.

Man found dead after allegedly killing the mother of his child and wounding her two children
(LPL/FOX13) – A man wanted for killing the mother of his child and shooting his two children over the weekend in Tunica County was found dead, the sheriff’s office confirmed Tuesday.
The Tunica County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) said that the remains of 41-year-old Markell Braxton were found Monday afternoon in a wooded area behind a home on Solei Drive in Robinsonville, Miss.
TCSO had previously connected Braxton to a shooting Friday night at the Solei Drive home that killed 30-year-old Nykeria Jude and injured a 6-year-old girl and a 24-year-old man. Family had previously told local media news that the two people injured were Braxton’s children and the woman was one of their mothers.
Braxton’s body was found just after 4:40 p.m. Monday TSCSO deputies and the U.S. Marshals Service. His cause of death was not immediately known.
TSCO said that Braxton’s remains were being sent to the Mississippi Crime Lab for “positive identification.”
No other details were released.
