Mujer de Memphis es acusada de matar a un hombre que encontró escondido debajo de la cama de su hija

(LPL) –Una mujer de Memphis enfrenta cargos de asesinato luego de que investigadores indicaran que presuntamente disparó y mató a un hombre que habría encontrado escondido debajo de la cama de su hija dentro de una vivienda en el área de Walker Homes.

De acuerdo con documentos judiciales, el incidente ocurrió alrededor de la 1 de la madrugada en una casa ubicada en la cuadra 3000 de Travis Road. Según la investigación, la víctima, identificada como Morton, habría sido invitada a entrar a la vivienda por la puerta trasera.

Los investigadores señalaron que una menor que se encontraba dentro de la casa fue testigo de parte de los hechos y les contó que Scott llegó aproximadamente a la 1:30 a.m., golpeando fuertemente la puerta principal y gritando: “¿Quién está en mi casa?”.

Según la declaración de la menor, ella sintió miedo porque Scott llevaba un arma en la mano y estaba visiblemente molesta. La joven también habría dicho a los detectives que anteriormente Scott le había advertido que “si veía a un hombre en la casa, le iba a hacer un agujero”.

Memphis woman accused of killing man found hiding under her daughter’s bed

(LPL) – A Memphis woman is facing murder charges after investigators stated she allegedly shot and killed a man she found hiding under her daughter’s bed inside a home in the Walker Homes area.

According to court documents, the incident occurred around 1 a.m. at a house in the 3000 block of Travis Road. The investigation indicates that the victim, identified as Morton, had been invited into the home through the back door.

Investigators noted that a minor inside the house witnessed part of the events and reported that Scott arrived around 1:30 a.m., banging loudly on the front door and shouting, “Who is in my house?”

According to the minor’s statement, she was frightened because Scott was holding a gun and was visibly upset. The young woman also reportedly told detectives that Scott had previously warned her that “if she saw a man in the house, she was going to put a hole in him.”

When the minor finally let Scott into the home, investigators said Morton was found hiding under the bed in the young woman’s room.

According to the police report, Scott and Morton got into a verbal argument as he was leaving the residence. The woman allegedly shouted at him, “Get out of my house, b****.” The argument continued onto the front porch, where the minor said she heard a gunshot.

A neighbor also told authorities they saw Scott in the front yard after the shooting saying, “I shot him, I shot him,” while still holding a firearm.

Scott was subsequently taken into custody and brought in for questioning by investigators. The Memphis Police Department is continuing its investigation to clarify all details of the case.
