Pareja hispana arrestada tras tiroteo que dejó a una mujer herida de gravedad en restaurante de Memphis

(LPL) – Una pareja hispana enfrenta graves cargos luego de un tiroteo ocurrido la noche del 15 de junio en el restaurante Tequila Town, ubicado en el 717 de North Whitestation Road en Memphis. José Montoya, de 27 años, y Judith Ramírez, de 26, fueron arrestados por la policía tras presuntamente abrir fuego contra un guardia de seguridad, hiriendo a una mujer inocente en el proceso.

Según las autoridades, la pareja fue escoltada fuera del restaurante debido al comportamiento agresivo de Montoya. Testigos afirman que el hombre gritó “¡Ya se jodieron!” antes de dirigirse a su vehículo, sacar un arma y comenzar a disparar contra el guardia.

El enfrentamiento provocó un intercambio de disparos. Durante el tiroteo, una mujer fue alcanzada en la nuca por una bala y trasladada en estado crítico al Hospital Regional One. Varios vehículos también resultaron dañados.

Montoya y Ramírez huyeron en un Kia Sportage gris del 2025, localizado más tarde cerca del aeropuerto. En la propiedad, la policía halló evidencia balística, así como un arma de fuego. Ambos fueron detenidos en el lugar.

La pareja enfrenta cargos por intento de homicidio en primer grado, vandalismo y uso de arma de fuego para cometer un delito grave. Deben comparecer ante el tribunal este lunes y aún no se les ha fijado fianza.

Hispanic Couple Arrested After Shooting Leaves Woman Critically Injured at Memphis Restaurant

(LPL) – A Hispanic couple is facing serious charges following a shooting on the night of June 15 at Tequila Town restaurant, located at 717 North Whitestation Road in Memphis. José Montoya, 27, and Judith Ramírez, 26, were arrested by police after allegedly opening fire on a security guard, injuring an innocent woman in the process.

According to authorities, the couple was being escorted out of the restaurant due to Montoya’s aggressive behavior. Witnesses say the man shouted, “Now you’re screwed!” before heading to his car, retrieving a gun, and shooting at the guard.

The incident led to an exchange of gunfire. During the shooting, a woman was struck in the neck and rushed to Regional One Hospital in critical condition. Several vehicles were also damaged.

Montoya and Ramírez fled the scene in a gray 2025 Kia Sportage, which was later located near the airport. Police found ballistic evidence and a firearm on the property. Both suspects were taken into custody at the scene.

The couple is charged with attempted first-degree murder, vandalism, and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. They are scheduled to appear in court on Monday and have not yet been granted bond.
