De acuerdo con las autoridades, los hechos se registraron alrededor de las 10:30 p.m. del 20 de abril, cuando oficiales respondieron a una llamada por disparos en la cuadra 5300 de Scottsdale Avenue. Al llegar al lugar, encontraron a un hombre con heridas de bala.
La víctima fue trasladada de inmediato a un hospital en estado crítico, donde posteriormente fue declarada muerta.
Según la información preliminar de la policía, el tiroteo se originó tras una pelea entre dos hombres. Uno de ellos fue detenido en la escena; sin embargo, fue liberado poco después y, hasta el momento, no se han presentado cargos en relación con el caso.
Las autoridades indicaron que ambos hombres estuvieron involucrados en la altercación previa al incidente, aunque no se han revelado más detalles sobre las circunstancias que llevaron al enfrentamiento.
El caso continúa bajo investigación, y la policía no descarta que puedan presentarse cargos conforme avance el proceso.

(LPL) – A man died Monday night following a shooting in the Parkway Village area of southeast Memphis, according to the Memphis Police Department (MPD).
According to authorities, the incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. on April 20, when officers responded to a call regarding shots fired in the 5300 block of Scottsdale Avenue. Upon arriving at the scene, they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds.
The victim was immediately transported to a hospital in critical condition, where he was subsequently pronounced dead.
According to preliminary police information, the shooting stemmed from an altercation between two men. One of the men was detained at the scene; however, he was released shortly thereafter, and as of now, no charges have been filed in connection with the case.
Authorities indicated that both men were involved in the altercation preceding the incident, although no further details have been released regarding the circumstances that led to the confrontation.
The case remains under investigation, and police have not ruled out the possibility that charges may be filed as the investigation progresses.
