Presunto autor del tiroteo en el Wolfchase Mall que dejó un muerto, fue fichado en la cárcel del condado de Shelby por asesinato en segundo grado

(LPL) – Como Yahir Medina fue identificado el sospechoso de matar a otro hombre la tarde de ayer en el Centro Comercial Wolfchase Galleria de Cordova.

Medina, nacido en Estados Unidos y de 22 años, fue fichado en la cárcel del condado de Shelby por asesinato en segundo grado.

Un coronel de la Policía de Memphis indicó ayer en rueda de prensa que el sospechoso, luego de cometer el crimen, había huido en una van blanca pero luego fue identificado y capturado.

Según el mismo oficial, la víctima y el sospechoso habrían tenido un altercado dentro del establecimiento que resultó en el fatal tiroteo.

El mismo Medina, en un video que él mismo posteó en las redes sociales tras supuestamente cometer el asesinato, indicó que lo había hecho en defensa propia ya que la otra persona “le había puesto las manos encima delante de la mamá de sus hijos”.

En el mismo video, entre otras cosas, Medina indicaba que se iba a entregar ya que la policía había hecho redadas en sus dos casas.

The alleged perpetrator of the Wolfchase Mall shooting that left one dead was booked into the Shelby County Jail on second-degree murder charges

(LPL) – Yahir Medina has been identified as the suspect in the shooting death of another man yesterday afternoon at the Wolfchase Galleria Mall in Cordova.

Medina, a 22-year-old U.S. citizen, was booked into the Shelby County Jail on second-degree murder charges.

A Memphis police colonel stated at a press conference yesterday that the suspect fled in a white van after committing the crime but was later identified and apprehended.

According to the same officer, the victim and the suspect had an altercation inside the mall that resulted in the fatal shooting.

Medina himself, in a video he posted on social media after allegedly committing the murder, claimed he acted in self-defense because the other person “had put his hands on him in front of the mother of his children.”

In the same video, among other things, Medina indicated that he was going to turn himself in because the police had raided both of his homes.
