Presunto ladrón muere al ser tiroteado durante un intento de robo en Walgreens de Whitehaven

(LPL) – Un hombre que, según las autoridades, intentaba cometer un robo en una tienda Walgreens en Whitehaven murió tras recibir un disparo la madrugada del jueves, informó la Policía de Memphis (MPD).

De acuerdo con MPD, los oficiales respondieron a un llamado de emergencia poco antes de las 12:30 a.m. en el establecimiento ubicado sobre Elvis Presley Boulevard, donde encontraron a un hombre adulto con heridas de bala. La víctima fue declarada muerta en el lugar.

Las autoridades indicaron que, de manera preliminar, el incidente ocurrió durante un intento de robo dentro de la tienda. Sin embargo, la investigación sigue abierta y aún no se ha determinado con certeza si fue un empleado del establecimiento o alguna otra persona quien realizó el disparo que terminó con la vida del presunto ladrón.

Ningún empleado ni cliente resultó herido durante el hecho, según la información disponible hasta el momento.

La identidad del fallecido no ha sido revelada, mientras detectives continúan reuniendo evidencia y entrevistando testigos para esclarecer completamente lo ocurrido.

Suspected Thief Dies After Being Shot During Attempted Robbery at Whitehaven Walgreens

(LPL) – A man who, according to authorities, was attempting to commit a robbery at a Walgreens store in Whitehaven died after being shot early Thursday morning, the Memphis Police Department (MPD) reported.

According to the MPD, officers responded to an emergency call shortly before 12:30 a.m. at the establishment located on Elvis Presley Boulevard, where they found an adult male with gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities indicated that, preliminarily, the incident occurred during an attempted robbery inside the store. However, the investigation remains open, and it has not yet been determined with certainty whether it was an employee of the establishment or another individual who fired the shot that ended the suspected thief’s life.

No employees or customers were injured during the incident, according to the information available at this time.

The identity of the deceased has not been released, as detectives continue to gather evidence and interview witnesses to fully clarify what occurred.
