Tras tres años encabezando la lista anual de la Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), la capital austriaca ha sido superada por la “Maravillosa, Maravillosa Copenhague”.
La capital de Dinamarca se ha posicionado en el primer puesto del ranking de las ciudades más habitables del mundo para 2025, publicado este martes.
La EIU, organización hermana de la revista The Economist, clasificó a 173 ciudades de todo el mundo en función de diversos factores, como la sanidad, la educación, la estabilidad, la infraestructura y el medio ambiente.
Copenhague triunfó tras obtener puntuaciones “perfectas” en estabilidad, educación e infraestructura, mientras que Viena empató en segundo lugar con la ciudad suiza de Zúrich.
Melbourne, en Australia, mantuvo su cuarto puesto, mientras que Ginebra, en Suiza, ocupó el quinto.
Justo fuera de los cinco primeros puestos, Sidney, Australia, ascendió en la lista, pasando del séptimo al sexto puesto, mientras que la ciudad japonesa de Osaka y Auckland, de Nueva Zelandia, empataron en el séptimo puesto.
En noveno lugar, Adelaida fue la tercera ciudad australiana en entrar al top 10, mientras que Vancouver, de Canadá, ocupó el décimo puesto.

World’s Best City to Live in 2025 Revealed
(LPL/CNN) – It’s official. Vienna is no longer the world’s best city to live in.
After three years at the top of the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) annual list, the Austrian capital has been overtaken by “Wonderful, Wonderful Copenhagen.”
The Danish capital has taken first place in the ranking of the world’s most liveable cities for 2025, published this Tuesday.
The EIU, a sister organization of The Economist magazine, ranked 173 cities around the world based on various factors, including healthcare, education, stability, infrastructure, and the environment.
Copenhagen triumphed after obtaining “perfect” scores in stability, education, and infrastructure, while Vienna tied for second place with the Swiss city of Zurich.
Melbourne, Australia, maintained its fourth place, while Geneva, Switzerland, took fifth.
Just outside the top five, Sydney, Australia, climbed the list, moving from seventh to sixth, while Osaka, Japan, and Auckland, New Zealand, tied for seventh.
In ninth place, Adelaide was the third Australian city to enter the top 10, while Vancouver, Canada, ranked tenth.
