Sospechoso mata a un hombre, hiere a otro y luego intenta suicidarse en Dyer County

(LPL) – Un hombre es investigado por matar a una persona, herir gravemente a otra y posteriormente intentar quitarse la vida durante una serie de hechos ocurridos la madrugada del jueves en el condado de Dyer, informaron las autoridades.

Según la Oficina del Sheriff del Condado de Dyer (DCSO), los agentes respondieron a una llamada por un tiroteo en el área de Lennox. Al llegar, encontraron a dos hombres con heridas de bala. Uno de ellos fue declarado muerto en el lugar, mientras que el segundo fue trasladado a un hospital en estado crítico.

Tras el ataque, el sospechoso huyó de la escena y condujo hasta la Interestatal 155, donde impactó de frente contra un tráiler de 18 ruedas en lo que las autoridades calificaron como un aparente intento de suicidio. El sospechoso, cuya identidad no ha sido revelada, resultó con heridas que ponen en peligro su vida y permanece hospitalizado.

La Oficina del Sheriff indicó que ambas escenas han sido aseguradas y que no existe una amenaza para la comunidad. Sin embargo, la investigación continúa en una etapa inicial, por lo que la información podría modificarse conforme surjan nuevos detalles.

(LPL) – A man is under investigation after killing one person, seriously injuring another, and then attempting to take his own life during a series of incidents early Thursday morning in Dyer County, authorities said.

According to the Dyer County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO), deputies responded to a shooting call in the Lennox area, where they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. One victim was pronounced dead at the scene, while the second was rushed to a hospital in critical condition.

After the shooting, the suspect fled the area and drove onto Interstate 155, where he collided head-on with an 18-wheeler in what authorities described as an apparent suicide attempt. The suspect, whose identity has not been released, suffered life-threatening injuries and remains hospitalized.

The sheriff’s office said both scenes have been secured and that there is no ongoing threat to the community. However, investigators noted the case is still in its early stages and details may change as the investigation continues.
