Tiroteo masivo en un parque de Filadelfia deja saldo de 2 muertos y 9 heridos

(LPL/CNN) – Dos personas murieron y otras nueve resultaron heridas en un tiroteo masivo ocurrido este lunes por la noche en el Parque Fairmount de Filadelfia, informaron las autoridades.

El tiroteo se produjo alrededor de las 10:27 p.m. hora local, según informó el comisionado de Policía de Filadelfia, Kevin Bethel, durante una conferencia de prensa. Las víctimas mortales fueron un hombre y una mujer adultos, añadió Bethel. Entre los heridos se encuentran tres adolescentes de 15, 16 y 17 años.

“Se dispararon varias balas”, declaró Bethel. “Diferentes grupos de jóvenes se encontraban en el lugar”.
No se han recuperado armas, añadió Bethel. No se han revelado los nombres de las víctimas.

Un video del lugar mostró una importante presencia policial, con agentes investigando hasta altas horas de la noche.

Horas antes, el Parque Fairmount se había llenado de familias y miembros de la comunidad disfrutando de barbacoas con motivo del Día de los Caídos, informó WPVI, afiliada de CNN.

Mass shooting in Philadelphia park leaves 2 dead and 9 injured

(LPL/CNN) – Two people were killed and nine others were injured in a mass shooting that occurred Monday night in Philadelphia’s Fairmount Park, authorities reported.

The shooting occurred around 10:27 p.m. local time, Philadelphia Police Commissioner Kevin Bethel said during a press conference. The fatalities were an adult man and woman, Bethel added. Among the injured were three teenagers ages 15, 16, and 17.

“Multiple rounds were fired,” Bethel stated. “Different groups of youth were at the scene.”
No weapons have been recovered, Bethel added. The names of the victims have not been released.

Video from the scene showed a significant police presence, with officers investigating late into the night.

Hours earlier, Fairmount Park was filled with families and community members enjoying Memorial Day barbecues, CNN affiliate WPVI reported.
