Una persona murió luego de un tiroteo dentro del Centro Comercial Wolfchase Galleria; el sospechoso fue detenido

(LPL) – Una persona falleció tras ser baleada dentro del centro comercial Wolfchase Galleria el lunes por la tarde, según le confirmaron las autoridades.

Un coronel de la Policía de Memphis indicó que el sospechoso, luego de cometer el crimen, había huido en una ban blanca pero luego fue identificado y capturado. Según el mismo oficio, la victima y el sospechoso habrían tenido un alter ado dentro del establecimiento que resultó en el fatal tiroteo.

La versión que se tenía anteriormente es que la persona había sido herida pero luego se confirmó que fue trasladada a un hospital pero luego murió.

El tiroteo ocurrió alrededor de las 2:09p.m. Testigos que estaban dentro del centro comercial, afirman que se escucharon entre 3 y detonaciones dentro del recinto.

Minutos después del incidente, llegaron por lo menos 30 patrullas de la Policía de Memphis y de Shelby County Sheriff, entre otros organismos, para acordonar el área y cerrar todos los accesos al “Mall”.

A eso se las 3:00 de la tarde se pudo observar que estaban desalojando a todo el personal que trabajaba en el centro comercial.

One person died after a shooting inside the Wolfchase Galleria Mall: the suspect was detained

(LPL) – One person died after being shot inside the Wolfchase Galleria mall on Monday afternoon, authorities confirmed.

A Memphis police colonel indicated that the suspect fled in a white van after committing the crime but was later identified and apprehended. According to the same report, the victim and the suspect had an altercation inside the mall that resulted in the fatal shooting.

The initial report stated that the person had been wounded, but it was later confirmed that they were taken to a hospital and subsequently died.

The shooting occurred around 2:09 p.m. Witnesses inside the mall reported hearing between three and four gunshots.

Minutes after the incident, at least 30 patrol cars from the Memphis Police Department and Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, among other agencies, arrived to cordon off the area and close all entrances to the mall.

At around 3:00 in the afternoon, it could be observed that they were evacuating all the staff who worked in the shopping center.
