Varios tiroteos en distintos puntos de la ciudad dejan Aldo de un menor de 14 años y un hombre heridos

(LPL) – Dos tiroteos ocurridos en un corto periodo de tiempo en Memphis dejaron como saldo dos personas heridas, entre ellas un adolescente de 14 años, lo que ha llevado al Departamento de Policía de Memphis (MPD) a investigar si los hechos están relacionados.

El primero de los casos involucra a un menor de 14 años que resultó herido la noche del martes en el área de Raleigh. De acuerdo con la policía, el adolescente llegó al Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital acompañado por sus familiares poco antes de la medianoche.

El joven relató a los investigadores que caminaba junto a un amigo de regreso a casa desde una tienda cercana a la intersección de Raleigh Millington Road y St. Elmo Avenue, cuando un sedán blanco desconocido se acercó y abrió fuego contra ellos. El menor fue impactado en múltiples ocasiones, aunque las autoridades indicaron que se espera que se recupere.

Aproximadamente 30 minutos antes de este incidente, la policía respondió a otro hecho violento en los apartamentos Country View, ubicados en Stephanie Lane, muy cerca de donde ocurrió el tiroteo del adolescente. En ese lugar, un hombre informó que dos individuos armados y con el rostro cubierto irrumpieron en su vivienda tras forzar la entrada y comenzaron a disparar mientras su hijo se encontraba dentro.

El residente indicó que logró tomar su arma y responder a los disparos, lo que provocó que los sospechosos huyeran del lugar. Imágenes de vigilancia captadas por las autoridades muestran a dos hombres entrando rápidamente al apartamento, seguidos de gritos y detonaciones.

El tiroteo causó daños materiales, incluyendo impactos de bala en el vehículo del propietario y fragmentos que atravesaron la pared de una vivienda vecina.

Horas después, ya la mañana del miércoles, un tercer incidente fue reportado cuando un hombre llegó herido por arma de fuego al St. Francis Hospital. La víctima afirmó haber sido baleada en un tiroteo ocurrido en la Interestatal 240, cerca de Perkins Street. Sus heridas no fueron consideradas de gravedad.

Debido a la cercanía en tiempo y ubicación de estos hechos, el MPD continúa investigando si los casos están conectados, mientras se mantiene la búsqueda de los responsables.

Several shootings across different parts of the city leave a 14-year-old minor and a man injured

(LPL) – Two shootings that occurred within a short period of time in Memphis left two people injured, including a 14-year-old boy, prompting the Memphis Police Department (MPD) to investigate whether the incidents are connected.

The first case involves a 14-year-old who was injured Tuesday night in the Raleigh area. According to police, the teen arrived at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital with family members just before midnight.

The boy told investigators he was walking home with a friend from a store near the intersection of Raleigh Millington Road and St. Elmo Avenue when an unknown white sedan approached and opened fire. He was struck multiple times, but authorities said he is expected to recover.

About 30 minutes before that shooting, officers responded to another violent incident at the Country View Apartments on Stephanie Lane, located near where the teen was shot. A man reported that two armed, masked suspects forced their way into his home and began shooting while his son was inside.

The homeowner said he retrieved his own firearm and returned fire, causing the suspects to flee. Surveillance footage obtained by investigators shows two individuals rushing into the apartment, followed by shouting and gunfire.

The shooting caused property damage, including bullet holes in the homeowner’s car and a fragment that went through a neighboring apartment’s wall.

Hours later, on Wednesday morning, a third incident was reported when a man arrived at St. Francis Hospital with a gunshot wound. The victim told police he had been shot during an incident along Interstate 240 near Perkins Street. His injuries were not considered life-threatening.

Due to the close timing and proximity of these events, MPD continues to investigate whether the cases are related while searching for those responsible.
