Mid-South Latino Chamber of Commerce Holds Immigration Information Event
(LPL) – Con un lleno total, la Cámara de Comercio Latina del Sur Medio llevó a cabo su evento de Almuerzo Conexión MLCC en las instalaciones de Junior Achievement of Memphis and the Mid-South.
Muy acorde a los tiempos que vivimos, la Cámara de Comercio Latina del Sur Medio tuvo de invitada a la abogada de inmigración y socia fundadora de Siskind and Susser Immigration Law Firm, Lynn Susser, quien habló sobre cómo la política migratoria de la administración Trump afectará a la comunidad y a los negocios, tanto en Memphis como en toda la nación.
Una pieza clave para contrarrestar el impacto que estas acciones pueden hacer es informarse de qué se puede hacer: conocer los derechos que poseen tanto las empresas como los individuos a la hora de tener un encuentro con agentes de ICE, evitar situaciones de riesgo, planificar posibles escenarios en caso de un arresto, actualizar documentos y sobre todo la protección por parte de la compañía para sus empleados.
Finalizando con una sesión de preguntas y respuestas, la abogada Lynn Susser aclaró muchas incertidumbres legales que había en torno a las redadas y a los arrestos por parte de ICE en Memphis.

(LPL) –The Mid-South Latino Chamber of Commerce held its MLCC Connection Luncheon event at the Junior Achievement of Memphis and the Mid-South facilities, with a full house.
In keeping with the times we live in, the Mid-South Latino Chamber of Commerce had as a guest immigration attorney and founding partner of Siskind and Susser Immigration Law Firm, Lynn Susser, who spoke about how the Trump administration’s immigration policy will affect the community and businesses, both in Memphis and across the nation.
A key piece to counteract the impact that these actions can have is to be informed of what can be done: knowing the rights that both companies and individuals have when having an encounter with ICE agents, avoiding risky situations, planning possible scenarios in case of an arrest, updating documents and above all the protection by the company for its employees.
Concluding with a question-and-answer session, attorney Lynn Susser clarified many legal uncertainties that existed around the raids and arrests by ICE in Memphis.
