Una persona resulta herida en incendio de tráiler en la I-40

(LPL) – Una persona resultó herida la madrugada del miércoles tras el choque e incendio de un tráiler en la Interestatal 40, cerca de Canada Road, según informó el Departamento de Bomberos del Condado de Shelby.

La Patrulla de Carreteras de Tennessee (THP) indicó que el accidente ocurrió poco después de las 5:30 a. m., cuando el vehículo salió de la vía y terminó en una zona boscosa, donde se prendió en llamas. El herido sufrió un corte leve, de acuerdo con los bomberos.

El tráiler quedó completamente envuelto por el fuego, que también alcanzó arbustos y árboles cercanos. Al lugar acudieron equipos de bomberos del Condado de Shelby, Bartlett, Memphis y Arlington para sofocar las llamas.

Las autoridades confirmaron que los dos carriles que permanecieron cerrados ya fueron reabiertos al tránsito.

One Person Injured in Tractor-Trailer Fire on I-40

(LPL) – One person was injured early Wednesday morning after a tractor-trailer crashed and caught fire on Interstate 40 near Canada Road, according to the Shelby County Fire Department.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) reported that the accident happened shortly after 5:30 a.m., when the vehicle veered off the highway into a wooded area and burst into flames. The injured individual sustained a minor cut, officials said.

The trailer was completely engulfed by the fire, which also spread to nearby bushes and trees. Fire crews from Shelby County, Bartlett, Memphis, and Arlington responded to the scene to extinguish the flames.

Authorities confirmed that the two lanes closed due to the accident have since reopened to traffic.
