(LPL) –El Departamento de Policía de Memphis anunció el cierre por declaración de propiedad molesta del Budget Host Inn & Suites, ubicado en 2745 Airways Boulevard, luego de documentar un patrón persistente de actividad criminal durante los últimos dos años.
Según MPD, entre el 18 de septiembre de 2024 y el 18 de septiembre de 2026, los agentes respondieron a 792 llamadas de servicio relacionadas con el hotel. Estas intervenciones generaron 166 reportes y 71 arrestos.
Entre las llamadas atendidas se incluyen 75 reportes relacionados con personas armadas, 123 por disturbios, 23 peleas, siete sobredosis, cinco robos, tres robos de autos y cuatro tiroteos en los que personas resultaron alcanzadas por disparos. Las autoridades también documentaron casos de agresiones agravadas y sexuales, robos, robo de vehículos y delitos relacionados con narcóticos.
MPD informó que el 29 de abril de 2026 se notificó por escrito a los responsables de la propiedad sobre la situación bajo la ley de reducción de propiedades molestas de Tennessee. Sin embargo, las autoridades señalaron que la actividad criminal continuó, incluyendo agresiones agravadas, robos a mano armada y tiroteos.
La operación para cerrar el establecimiento involucró a la Unidad de Crimen Organizado de MPD, oficiales de las estaciones Raines y Ridgeway, la ciudad de Memphis y la Oficina del Fiscal de Distrito del Condado de Shelby.

(LPL) – The Memphis Police Department announced the closure of the Budget Host Inn & Suites, located at 2745 Airways Boulevard, declaring it a public nuisance property after documenting a persistent pattern of criminal activity over the past two years.
According to the MPD, between September 18, 2024, and September 18, 2026, officers responded to 792 calls for service related to the hotel. These interventions resulted in 166 reports and 71 arrests.
The calls handled included 75 reports involving armed individuals, 123 regarding disturbances, 23 fights, seven overdoses, five robberies, three carjackings, and four shootings in which people were struck by gunfire. Authorities also documented cases of aggravated and sexual assault, theft, vehicle theft, and narcotics-related offenses.
The MPD reported that on April 29, 2026, those responsible for the property were notified in writing regarding the situation under Tennessee’s nuisance property abatement law. However, authorities noted that criminal activity continued, including aggravated assaults, armed robberies, and shootings.
The operation to close the establishment involved the MPD’s Organized Crime Unit, officers from the Raines and Ridgeway precincts, the City of Memphis, and the Shelby County District Attorney’s Office.
Notices posted on the doors indicate that the establishment was closed by order of the Environmental Court and the District Attorney.
The MPD stated that it will continue to focus on properties that authorities say generate recurring public safety issues, as part of its strategy to address locations associated with persistent criminal activity.
