Actual temperatures will range from 97°F to 99°F, but the oppressive humidity will make the air feel nearly unbearable.

An excessive heat warning is in effect for the entire Mid-South region through at least Thursday. This is a critical situation: prolonged heat with little to no relief at night poses a serious threat to anyone without air conditioning or consistent hydration. The risk of heat-related illnesses is extreme, even for healthy and active individuals.

Authorities are warning the public:
