Former West Point Cadet Drugged Girlfriend to Induce Abortion Without Her Consent
(LPL) – A former cadet at the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York, drugged his then-girlfriend and administered abortion-inducing medication without her consent, causing her to miscarry in 2022. He subsequently graduated from Cornell University and began graduate studies at Columbia.
In June 2026, Caleb Suh pleaded guilty to one count of assault in connection with the events of March 2022, when the 19-year-old woman—a second-year student at the academy—had decided to carry her pregnancy to term.
According to court documents, Suh used his girlfriend’s identity to obtain abortion pills and acquired Xanax to sedate her. He then mixed the drugs into a drink that she believed to be a nutritional shake. Once she fell asleep, he administered the pills.
The young woman woke up bleeding, called 911, and was taken to a hospital. She has now filed a civil lawsuit against Suh, seeking compensation for the damages she sustained.
The case also raises questions regarding how educational institutions handled the former cadet’s background. Cornell stated that West Point reported him as being in good academic standing and eligible to return.
Suh is awaiting sentencing, which has been postponed until January 2027.
