(LPL) – A man is in critical condition after the pickup truck he was driving crashed into a tree early Friday morning in Arlington, Tennessee.

According to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO), deputies responded around 3:35 a.m. to a crash in the 4500 block of Chester Street, where a pickup truck had struck a tree.

Upon arrival, investigators found the driver—an adult male—who was transported to a nearby hospital due to the severity of his injuries. Authorities reported that he was in critical condition.
