Identifican a rapero de Memphis asesinado en tiroteo en Frayser

(LPL) – Un hombre que murió durante un tiroteo registrado el fin de semana en un vecindario de Frayser fue identificado por su familia como el rapero de Memphis FastCash Cmoney.

Cmoney, cuyo nombre real era Cordney Smith, formaba parte del dúo de rap conocido como FastCash Boyz. Según informó el Departamento de Policía de Memphis (MPD), los oficiales recibieron un reporte de disparos alrededor de las 12:20 a.m. del domingo en el área de Macaulay Drive y Macaulay Cove.

Al llegar, los agentes encontraron varias viviendas impactadas por balas. Mientras continuaban revisando la zona, descubrieron que, a unas cuadras de distancia, cerca de Maritavia Street y Georgian Drive, un hombre había sido asesinado a tiros. La víctima fue posteriormente identificada por sus familiares como Smith.

Imágenes obtenidas por FOX13 muestran vehículos involucrados en el tiroteo inicial en Macaulay Drive y Macaulay Cove. En el video se escuchan y se ven múltiples disparos provenientes de los autos, y se observa cómo uno de los vehículos retrocede con la puerta del pasajero todavía abierta.

Memphis Rapper Killed in Frayser Shooting Identified

(LPL) – A man who was killed during a shooting over the weekend in a Frayser neighborhood has been identified by his family as Memphis rapper FastCash Cmoney.

Cmoney, whose real name was Cordney Smith, was part of the rap duo FastCash Boyz. According to the Memphis Police Department (MPD), officers responded around 12:20 a.m. Sunday to reports of gunfire in the area of Macaulay Drive and Macaulay Cove.

When officers arrived, they found several homes had been struck by bullets. As they continued to search the area, they discovered a man had been shot to death a few blocks away — near Maritavia Street and Georgian Drive. Family members later confirmed the victim was Smith.

Footage obtained by FOX13 shows vehicles involved in the initial shootout at Macaulay Drive and Macaulay Cove. In the video, multiple gunshots can be heard and seen coming from the cars, and one of the vehicles is seen reversing with the passenger door still open.
