Oficial de Collierville renuncia tras acusación de agresión doméstica

(LPL/WREG) – Un oficial de Collierville acusado de agredir físicamente a su novia en el condado de Fayette, Tennessee, renunció, confirmó el Departamento de Policía de Collierville (CPD) el martes por la mañana.

David L. Haley fue acusado de agresión doméstica.
El CPD declaró que Haley recibió una declaración de cargos el 4 de marzo y, durante ese tiempo, los oficiales informaron que decidió renunciar.

Los cargos penales contra Haley están pendientes en el condado de Fayette y el caso aún está bajo investigación, según informó el departamento de policía.
Los agentes informaron que el 2 de marzo, alrededor de las 2:30 a. m., fueron llamados a una residencia por una disputa doméstica.

Al llegar, una denunciante les contó que ella y su novio, a quien identificó como Haley, tuvieron una discusión violenta.
La novia dijo que Haley la sacó de la cama y ambos comenzaron a golpearse.

Tras interrogar a ambas partes, los agentes determinaron que Haley era el principal agresor.

Fue detenido de inmediato y trasladado al Centro de Justicia Penal del condado de Fayette.

Collierville officer resigns amid domestic assault charge

(LPL/WREG) – A Collierville officer accused of physically assaulting his girlfriend in Fayette County, Tennessee, has resigned, the Collierville Police Department (CPD) confirmed on Tuesday morning.

David L. Haley was charged with domestic assault.
CPD stated that Haley was presented with a statement of charges on March 4, and during that time, officers reported that he chose to resign.

Criminal charges for Haley are pending in Fayette County, and the case is still under investigation, the police department also mentioned.
Deputies say on March 2, around 2:30 a.m., they were called to a residence for a domestic dispute.

Upon their arrival, a complainant told them that she and her boyfriend, whom she identified as Haley, got into a physical altercation after an argument.
The girlfriend said that Haley pulled her out of the bed, and both of them began hitting one another.

After both parties were questioned, deputies said they determined Haley to be the primary aggressor.

He was immediately taken into custody and taken to the Criminal Justice Center in Fayette County.
