(LPL) – La Patrulla de Carreteras de Tennessee (THP) lanzó un mensaje de prevención con motivo de la temporada de “prom”, advirtiendo a los conductores sobre la importancia de la seguridad vial durante este periodo de celebraciones.

En el video compartido por la agencia, las autoridades señalan que, desde ahora y hasta finales de mayo, patrulleros y personal de primeros auxilios estarán vigilando las carreteras de Tennessee para garantizar una conducción segura.

El mensaje hace un llamado directo a la responsabilidad al volante: evitar el exceso de velocidad, no conducir bajo los efectos del alcohol y no usar el teléfono celular mientras se maneja. “No vale la pena”, enfatizan en el video.

La THP también envía un mensaje enfocado en los jóvenes que asisten a los bailes de “prom”, recordándoles que deben cuidarse y tomar decisiones responsables. “Se ven bien, mantenganse así. Lléven a la chica a casa de forma segura; su papá tiene nuestro número”, expresa el mensaje, subrayando la importancia de regresar a casa sin incidentes.

El objetivo del operativo es reducir accidentes y promover la seguridad durante una de las épocas más activas en las carreteras del estado.

(LPL) – The Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) has issued a preventive message ahead of “prom” season, warning drivers about the critical importance of road safety during this period of celebrations.

In a video shared by the agency, authorities note that from now until the end of May, troopers and first responders will be patrolling Tennessee’s roadways to ensure safe driving conditions.

The message issues a direct appeal for responsible behavior behind the wheel: avoid speeding, do not drive under the influence of alcohol, and refrain from using a cell phone while driving. “It’s not worth it,” they emphasize in the video.

The THP also directs a message specifically to young people attending prom dances, reminding them to look out for one another and make responsible choices. “You look good—stay that way. Get the girl home safely; her dad has our number,” the message states, underscoring the importance of returning home without incident.

The objective of this operation is to reduce accidents and promote safety during one of the busiest times of the year on the state’s roadways.
