(LPL) – El icónico Sun Studio fue reconocido como la segunda mejor atracción turística de Estados Unidos en la más reciente lista “Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best” de Tripadvisor, consolidando una vez más a Memphis como uno de los destinos musicales más importantes del país.

El histórico estudio de grabación, considerado la cuna del rock and roll, quedó únicamente detrás del Empire State Building de Nueva York en el ranking nacional elaborado por la plataforma de viajes. El listado se basa en millones de reseñas y opiniones compartidas por viajeros durante un periodo de 12 meses.

Fundado en 1950, Sun Studio es conocido mundialmente por haber lanzado las carreras de artistas legendarios como Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, B.B. King y Roy Orbison. Miles de turistas visitan cada año el estudio para conocer el lugar donde nacieron algunas de las grabaciones más influyentes de la música estadounidense.

Tripadvisor señaló que menos del 1% de los más de ocho millones de destinos y atracciones disponibles en su plataforma reciben esta distinción, considerada una de las más importantes dentro de la industria turística.

Otra atracción de Memphis que también apareció en la lista (24) fue Graceland, la histórica mansión de Elvis Presley, reafirmando el impacto cultural y turístico de la ciudad a nivel nacional.

Sun Studio Recognized Among the Best Attractions in the U.S.

(LPL) – The iconic Sun Studio was recognized as the second-best tourist attraction in the United States in Tripadvisor’s latest “Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best” list, once again solidifying Memphis as one of the country’s most important music destinations.

The historic recording studio—considered the birthplace of rock and roll—ranked just behind New York’s Empire State Building in the national ranking compiled by the travel platform. The list is based on millions of reviews and opinions shared by travelers over a 12-month period.

Founded in 1950, Sun Studio is known worldwide for launching the careers of legendary artists such as Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, B.B. King, and Roy Orbison. Thousands of tourists visit the studio each year to see the place where some of the most influential recordings in American music were born.

Tripadvisor noted that less than 1% of the more than eight million destinations and attractions available on its platform receive this distinction, which is considered one of the most prestigious within the tourism industry.

Another Memphis attraction that also appeared on the list (at number 24) was Graceland—Elvis Presley’s historic mansion—further reaffirming the city’s cultural and tourism impact on a national level.
