Un herido tras dos tiroteos conectados en la Knight Arnold Road

(LPL) – La Policía de Memphis investiga dos escenas de disparos ocurridas durante la madrugada del miércoles 22 de abril en Knight Arnold Road, las cuales estarían relacionadas y habrían dejado al menos una persona herida en estado crítico.

Según el MPD los agentes respondieron poco después de la medianoche a un reporte de tiroteo en una gasolinera ubicada en la cuadra 4000 de Knight Arnold Road.

De acuerdo con testigos, un hombre descrito como de tez clara, con rastas y chaqueta tipo motociclista, discutía con una mujer cuando la situación escaló. Varias personas intentaron intervenir, momento en el que el sospechoso habría sacado un arma y disparado al aire, realizando posteriormente más disparos hacia un estacionamiento cercano en la cuadra 3900.

Tras los hechos, un grupo de personas abandonó el área en un vehículo Nissan blanco, según los reportes de testigos.

Minutos después, la policía localizó al sospechoso en la intersección de Goodlett Road y Almo Avenue. Allí fue encontrado herido y trasladado en estado crítico al hospital Regional One Health.

Las autoridades señalan que el hombre herido sería el principal implicado en ambos tiroteos. La investigación preliminar indica que el incidente se habría originado tras una discusión con varios individuos mientras se encontraba cargando gasolina.

Testigos de la zona también reportaron haber escuchado múltiples disparos antes de que se produjera el intercambio de fuego.

One Injured Following Two Linked Shootings on Knight Arnold Road

(LPL) – Memphis Police are investigating two shooting scenes that occurred early Wednesday morning, April 22, on Knight Arnold Road; the incidents are believed to be connected and left at least one person critically injured.

According to the MPD, officers responded shortly after midnight to a report of a shooting at a gas station located in the 4000 block of Knight Arnold Road.

According to witnesses, a man—described as light-skinned, with dreadlocks and wearing a biker-style jacket—was arguing with a woman when the situation escalated. Several people attempted to intervene, at which point the suspect allegedly drew a weapon and fired into the air, subsequently firing additional shots toward a nearby parking lot in the 3900 block.

Following the incident, a group of people fled the area in a white Nissan vehicle, according to witness reports.

Minutes later, police located the suspect at the intersection of Goodlett Road and Almo Avenue. He was found injured at the scene and transported in critical condition to Regional One Health hospital.

Authorities indicate that the injured man is believed to be the primary individual involved in both shootings. A preliminary investigation suggests the incident stemmed from an argument with several individuals while the man was pumping gas.

Witnesses in the area also reported hearing multiple gunshots prior to the exchange of gunfire.
