La AAA informó que la larga semana de viajes por vacaciones comenzó oficialmente el domingo, pero el pavimento de una autopista interestatal en Memphis se iluminó con las luces azules de la respuesta policial al llegar la medianoche del sábado.

AAA reported that the long week of holiday travel officially began on Sunday, but the pavement of an interstate highway in Memphis was lit up with blue police response lights as midnight approached Saturday.

Police responded to the westbound lanes of Interstate 240 near the eastbound Highway 385 exit ramp. Memphis Police (MPD) did not share much information about the incident, but reported that a woman died at the scene and a man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) cameras showed MPD officers at the scene of the latest incident of gun violence on Bluff City highways. Police arrived shortly before 11:30 p.m. Saturday to respond to the reported shooting on I-240 westbound and Highway 385 eastbound.
