Una mujer resultó herida luego de un choque entre una patrulla de la Policía de Memphis y otro vehículo

(LPL) – Una mujer resultó herida tras chocar contra una patrulla del Departamento de Policía de Memphis (MPD) la mañana del lunes, en la intersección de Airways Boulevard y Raines Road, cerca del aeropuerto. El accidente ocurrió poco antes de las 7 a.m.

De acuerdo con los oficiales en el lugar, la patrulla del MPD estaba detenida en un semáforo en rojo. Cuando la luz cambió a verde, un camión se cruzó frente al vehículo policial. La conductora de un Ford Mustang intentó esquivarlo, pero terminó impactando contra la patrulla.

Tanto la mujer como los dos agentes que se encontraban en el vehículo policial fueron reportados en condición no crítica. La mujer fue trasladada al hospital en ambulancia, escoltada por policías, ya que contaba con órdenes de arresto pendientes.

Imágenes mostraban daños considerables en la parte frontal tanto del Mustang como de la patrulla, cuyos airbags se activaron tras el impacto.

A woman was injured after a collision between a Memphis Police patrol car and another vehicle

(LPL) – A woman was injured after crashing into a Memphis Police Department (MPD) patrol car Monday morning at the intersection of Airways Boulevard and Raines Road, near the airport. The accident occurred shortly before 7 a.m.

According to officers at the scene, the MPD cruiser was stopped at a red light. When the light turned green, a truck pulled out in front of the police vehicle. The driver of a Ford Mustang tried to avoid the truck but ended up colliding with the cruiser.

Both the woman and the two officers inside the patrol car were reported to be in non-critical condition. The woman was taken to the hospital by ambulance, escorted by police, as she reportedly had outstanding warrants.
