Accidente con dos motocicletas en la I-40 y Sycamore View deja dos heridos, uno en estado crítico

(LPL) – Dos hombres resultaron heridos, uno de ellos de gravedad, tras un accidente ocurrido la mañana del martes en la Interestatal 40, cerca de Sycamore View Road, en Memphis.

De acuerdo con el Departamento de Policía de Memphis (MPD), el choque se reportó poco después de las 7:30 a.m. en los carriles en dirección oeste de la I-40. El accidente involucró dos motocicletas y varios vehículos más.

Al llegar al lugar, los oficiales encontraron a dos hombres lesionados, quienes fueron trasladados a un hospital. Las autoridades informaron que uno de ellos se encuentra en condición crítica, mientras que el otro sufrió heridas que no ponen en riesgo su vida.

Cámaras del Departamento de Transporte de Tennessee (TDOT) mostraron largas filas de tráfico mientras conductores intentaban esquivar las motocicletas que quedaron sobre la carretera tras el impacto.
Debido al accidente, tres de los cuatro carriles izquierdos en dirección oeste fueron cerrados temporalmente, provocando importantes retrasos vehiculares durante la mañana del martes.

Hasta el momento, la policía no ha revelado más detalles sobre las causas del choque ni sobre las personas involucradas.

Accident involving two motorcycles at I-40 and Sycamore View leaves two injured, one in critical condition

(LPL) – Two men were injured—one seriously—following an accident that occurred Tuesday morning on Interstate 40, near Sycamore View Road, in Memphis.

According to the Memphis Police Department (MPD), the crash was reported shortly after 7:30 a.m. in the westbound lanes of I-40. The accident involved two motorcycles and several other vehicles.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers found two injured men, who were transported to a hospital. Authorities reported that one of the men is in critical condition, while the other sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Cameras from the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) showed long lines of traffic as drivers attempted to maneuver around the motorcycles left lying on the roadway following the impact.
Due to the accident, three of the four left-hand westbound lanes were temporarily closed, causing significant traffic delays throughout Tuesday morning.

As of now, police have not released further details regarding the cause of the crash or the individuals involved.
