Acusan a hombre de secuestrar a una mujer a punta de pistola cerca de Lamar Avenue y obligarla a realizar actos sexuales

(LPL) – Un hombre de 38 años fue acusado de secuestrar a una mujer a punta de pistola cerca de Lamar Avenue y Pearson Road, en Memphis, y obligarla a realizar actos sexuales, según informó la Fuerza de Tarea de Seguridad de Memphis (Memphis Safe Task Force).

De acuerdo con una declaración jurada citada por las autoridades, el incidente ocurrió el 13 de octubre, cuando Christopher Harris se acercó a la víctima en un automóvil negro y la amenazó con matarla si no subía al vehículo.

Una vez dentro, Harris presuntamente la mantuvo bajo amenaza de arma de fuego y la obligó a realizar actos sexuales. Posteriormente, condujo hasta un terreno sin pavimentar cerca de Democrat Road y Oakville Street, donde le robó 120 dólares que llevaba en su bolso.

Según el reporte, el sospechoso también intentó obligarla a mantener relaciones sexuales, pero los agentes intervinieron antes de que pudiera hacerlo.

Harris fue arrestado la semana pasada, luego de que las autoridades respondieran a una orden de arresto pendiente, informó la fuerza de tarea.

El hombre enfrenta cargos de secuestro, violación agravada, intento de violación agravada y robo agravado.

(LPL) – A 38-year-old man has been charged with kidnapping a woman at gunpoint near Lamar Avenue and Pearson Road in Memphis and forcing her to perform sexual acts, according to the Memphis Safe Task Force.

According to a sworn affidavit cited by authorities, the incident occurred on October 13, when Christopher Harris approached the victim in a black car and threatened to kill her if she did not get into the vehicle.

Once inside, Harris allegedly held her at gunpoint and forced her to perform sexual acts. He then drove to an unpaved lot near Democrat Road and Oakville Street, where he stole $120 that she had in her purse.

The report states that the suspect also attempted to force her to engage in sexual intercourse, but officers intervened before he could do so.

Harris was arrested last week after authorities acted on an outstanding arrest warrant, the task force reported.

The man faces charges of kidnapping, aggravated rape, attempted aggravated rape, and aggravated robbery.
