Bad Bunny triunfó en unos sorpresivos Grammy Latinos y dedicó su discurso a los niños

(LP/EN) – El reguetonero Bad Bunny se llevó el Grammy Latino al Álbum del Año y cerró una noche triunfal este jueves en Las Vegas, en una gala marcada por sorpresas.

El conejo malo llegó como gran favorito a la 26ª edición de los premios y capitalizó cinco de sus 12 nominaciones gracias a su DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS. El disco lo llevó a una exitosa residencia de tres meses en su natal Puerto Rico.
“Gracias a todas las personas que trabajaron en este álbum, son muchos y los llevo a todos en mi corazón”, dijo Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio al aceptar su galardón.

La colaboración de varios artistas, dijo el puertorriqueño, uno de los músicos más reproducidos del mundo, fue clave para el éxito del disco que dio espacio a talentos emergentes de la isla.
Bad Bunny, que dada la arremetida migratoria del presidente Donald Trump declinó incluir a Estados Unidos en su gira mundial que arranca este mes, dedicó su premio este jueves a “todos los niños y jóvenes de Latinoamérica”.

“No importa de donde vengan, no olviden de donde vienen”, dijo Bad Bunny. El artista desató pasiones en Estados Unidos luego de que lo escogieran para cantar en el medio tiempo de la Liga de Fútbol Americano en febrero.
“Hay muchas maneras de hacer patria y defender nuestra tierra. Nosotros escogimos la música”.

Bad Bunny completó su placar con premios a Mejor Álbum de Música Urbana, Mejor Canción Urbana, Mejor Fusión/Interpretación Urbana y Mejor Interpretación de Reguetón.

Por su parte, los argentinos Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso, nominados por primera vez a los Grammy Latinos, vencieron en cinco de sus 10 nominaciones.
El explosivo dúo de hip hop, que abrió conciertos del rapero estadounidense Kendrick Lamar, conquistó la Mejor Canción Pop con “El día del amigo”. Se trata de uno de los éxitos de su viral Papota, así como varias categorías de video y música alternativa.

Sorpresas

A pesar de que las miradas estaban puestas en los argentinos y Bad Bunny, quien también competirá en las tres principales categorías de los Premios Grammy en febrero, la noche de la música latina trajo sorpresas.

“Palmeras en el Jardín”, de Alejandro Sanz, se impuso como Mejor Grabación del Año.

“Benito, te lo he robado, perdóname”, dijo el español al recibir su galardón.

Otra sorpresa fue el triunfo de Karol G con su “Si antes te hubiera conocido”, la Mejor Canción del Año.

“Esta categoría estaba llena de gente impresionante”, arrancó la colombiana su discurso de agradecimiento.

La reguetonera aprovechó la oportunidad para hablar sobre el precio de la fama y el impacto que las críticas tuvieron en su carrera.
“Lo único que quedó para mí fue volver a la raíz, volver a la intención y al propósito”, dijo.

La canción, escrita por Édgar Barrera, también se coronó como Mejor Canción Tropical, dándole dos estatuillas a la artista que llegó con tres nominaciones.

Por su parte, el laureado Barrera, quien también llegó con 10 nominaciones, se alzó como el compositor del año con un set de canciones entre las que destacaba el pegajoso merengue interpretado por Karol G.

La anhelada estatuilla a Mejor Artista Revelación fue para la voz emergente del pop mexicano Paloma Morphy.

En las categorías de lengua portuguesa, Liniker, quien hizo historia en 2022 al convertirse en la primera artista trans en llevarse un Grammy Latino, capitalizó tres gramófonos, incluyendo el de Mejor Álbum Pop Contemporáneo luso que fue para su aclamado Caju.

La gala, que estuvo conducida por los cantantes Maluma y Roselyn Sánchez, regresó al MGM Grand Garden Arena de Las Vegas luego de un intervalo de dos años por España y Miami.

Con actuaciones de Elena Rose, la legendaria Gloria Estefan, Naty Peluso, Karol G, Marco Antonio Solís, Liniker, Ca7riel & Paco Amoroso, los reguetoneros Rauw Alejandro y Bad Bunny, el charro Pepe Aguilar, y Los Tigres del Norte, que rindieron un homenaje a los migrantes, la Academia Latina de la Grabación ofreció una fiesta marcada por la diversidad de generaciones y géneros.

Bad Bunny triumphed at a surprising Latin Grammy Awards and dedicated his acceptance speech to children

(LPL/EN) – Reggaeton star Bad Bunny took home the Latin Grammy for Album of the Year, capping off a triumphant night this Thursday in Las Vegas, at a gala marked by surprises.

The “bad bunny” arrived as the heavy favorite at the 26th edition of the awards and capitalized on five of his 12 nominations thanks to his album “DeBÍ Tirar Más Fotos” (I Should Have Taken More Photos). The album led to a successful three-month residency in his native Puerto Rico.

“Thank you to everyone who worked on this album, there are so many of you, and I carry you all in my heart,” said Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio upon accepting his award.

The collaboration of several artists, said the Puerto Rican artist, one of the most streamed musicians in the world, was key to the success of the album, which gave a platform to emerging talents from the island. Bad Bunny, who declined to include the United States in his world tour starting this month due to President Donald Trump’s immigration policies, dedicated his award this Thursday to “all the children and young people of Latin America.”

The explosive hip-hop duo, who opened for American rapper Kendrick Lamar, won Best Pop Song with “El día del amigo” (Friend’s Day). It’s one of the hits from their viral album Papota, and they also took home awards in several video and alternative music categories.

Surprises

Although all eyes were on the Argentinian duo and Bad Bunny, who will also be competing in the three main Grammy Award categories in February, the Latin music awards night brought surprises.

“Palmeras en el Jardín” (Palm Trees in the Garden), by Alejandro Sanz, won Record of the Year.

“Benito, I stole it from you, forgive me,” the Spanish singer said upon receiving his award.

Another surprise was Karol G’s win for Song of the Year with “Si antes te hubiera conocido” (If I Had Met You Before).

“This category was full of amazing people,” the Colombian singer began her acceptance speech.

The reggaeton artist took the opportunity to talk about the price of fame and the impact that criticism had on her career.

“The only thing left for me was to return to my roots, to my intention and purpose,” she said.

The song, written by Édgar Barrera, also won Best Tropical Song, giving the artist two awards after three nominations.

Meanwhile, the acclaimed Barrera, who also came in with 10 nominations, was named Composer of the Year with a set of songs that included the catchy merengue performed by Karol G.

The coveted award for Best New Artist went to the rising Mexican pop voice Paloma Morphy.

In the Portuguese-language categories, Liniker, who made history in 2022 by becoming the first transgender artist to win a Latin Grammy, took home three awards, including Best Portuguese Contemporary Pop Album for her acclaimed album, Caju.

The ceremony, hosted by singers Maluma and Roselyn Sánchez, returned to the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas after a two-year hiatus in Spain and Miami.
