(LPL) – Un empleado de Walmart en Horn Lake, Mississippi, apuñaló y mató a un hombre durante una pelea dentro de la tienda la noche del domingo, según informó el Departamento de Policía de Horn Lake (HLPD).
El hecho ocurrió alrededor de las 10:30 p.m. en el Walmart ubicado en el 4150 de Goodman Road. Los oficiales llegaron tras recibir un reporte de una persona herida con arma blanca y encontraron a Ledarius Clayton, de 27 años, con una herida en el abdomen en uno de los pasillos principales. Clayton fue trasladado al Hospital Baptist DeSoto, donde murió poco después a causa de sus lesiones.
De acuerdo con la policía, las cámaras de seguridad muestran a Clayton entrando al establecimiento y dirigiéndose directamente hacia el empleado, con quien inició una pelea. Durante el enfrentamiento, el trabajador lo apuñaló y luego se apartó de la escena.
El empleado fue detenido en el lugar, pero hasta el momento no enfrenta cargos. Las autoridades subrayaron que se trató de un incidente aislado y que no hay peligro para el público ni para otros trabajadores.

A Walmart employee in Horn Lake, Mississippi, stabbed and killed a man during a fight inside the store Sunday night, according to the Horn Lake Police Department (HLPD).
The incident happened around 10:30 p.m. at the Walmart located at 4150 Goodman Road. Officers responded to a report of a stabbing and found 27-year-old Ledarius Clayton with a wound to his stomach in one of the main aisles. Clayton was rushed to Baptist DeSoto Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Police said surveillance video shows Clayton entering the store and walking directly toward the employee before starting a physical fight. During the altercation, the worker stabbed him and then stepped away from the scene.
The employee was detained at the store but has not been charged at this time. Authorities said it was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public or other employees.
The investigation remains ongoing.
