Muere peatón tras ser atropellado en I-240; conductor se dió a la fuga

(LPL) – Un peatón murió la noche del lunes después de ser atropellado en la Interestatal 240 West, cerca de Poplar Avenue, en Memphis, en un accidente en el que el conductor/a huyó del lugar.

Según el Departamento de Policía de Memphis (MPD), los oficiales respondieron alrededor de las 8:40 de la noche a un reporte de accidente en la I-240 West, donde encontraron a un hombre que había sido atropellado.

El hombre fue declarado muerto en el lugar, informó la policía.

El vehículo presuntamente involucrado en el atropello abandonó la escena antes de la llegada de los agentes. Las autoridades no han divulgado por el momento información sobre el automóvil ni sobre la identidad del conductor.
