Van 161 arrestos de ICE desde que el “Memphis Safe Task Force” se instaló en la ciudad y más de 800 arrestos en total

Estos arrestos administrativos fueron ejecutados principalmente por agentes de Inmigración y Control de Aduanas (ICE) como parte del esfuerzo para identificar y detener a personas con órdenes pendientes o sin estatus migratorio legal.

La fiscal general de Estados Unidos, Pam Bondi, informó el 9 de octubre que el operativo ya había alcanzado 562 detenciones y 144 armas decomisadas. En menos de una semana, esas cifras aumentaron a 804 arrestos y 173 armas ilegales incautadas.

El DOJ indicó además que desde el inicio del operativo se han emitido más de 3,900 citaciones de tránsito, y que entre los detenidos hay 62 presuntos miembros de pandillas y 17 menores de edad.

El desglose más reciente de los cargos incluye:

• 161 arrestos administrativos por violaciones migratorias
• 297 por órdenes judiciales pendientes
• 94 por delitos relacionados con armas de fuego
• 79 por narcóticos
• 34 por delitos sexuales
• 6 por homicidio
• 2 por violaciones de libertad condicional o parole

Hasta el momento, el Memphis Safe Task Force también ha localizado 43 menores desaparecidos y ejecutado 10 órdenes de registro, según los datos más recientes del Departamento de Justicia.

(LPL) – Since its launch on September 29, the Memphis Safe Task Force—an operation led by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) with ICE participation—has made 804 arrests in Shelby County, of which more than 160 are related to immigration violations, according to documents obtained by ABC24.

These administrative arrests were carried out mainly by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents as part of the effort to identify and detain individuals with outstanding warrants or without legal immigration status.

U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi reported on October 9 that the task force had already reached 562 arrests and seized 144 illegal firearms. In less than a week, those numbers rose to 804 arrests and 173 illegal firearms confiscated.

The DOJ also indicated that since the operation began, over 3,900 traffic citations have been issued, and among those arrested are 62 alleged gang members and 17 juveniles.

The latest breakdown of charges includes:

• 161 administrative arrests for immigration violations
• 297 for outstanding warrants
• 94 for firearms-related offenses
• 79 for narcotics
• 34 for sexual offenses
• 6 for homicide
• 2 for probation or parole violations

So far, the Memphis Safe Task Force has also located 43 missing children and executed 10 search warrants, according to the latest data from the Department of Justice.
