Tiroteo en el estacionamiento del Walmart de Southaven, luego de un robo a una persona

(LPL/FOX13) – Lo que comenzó como un robo a las afueras de un Walmart en Southaven terminó con disparos resonando en el estacionamiento, informó la policía.

La policía de Southaven indicó que el incidente ocurrió poco después de las 7:00 p. m. del jueves en el estacionamiento del Walmart ubicado en Southcrest Parkway. Un individuo asaltó a un hombre y, posteriormente, abrió fuego antes de darse a la fuga, según las autoridades.

Nadie resultó herido por los disparos, señaló el SPD.

La policía informó el jueves por la noche que el asaltante armado seguía prófugo, y añadió que la investigación aún no había concluido.

Este es el mismo Walmart donde, en 2019, un empleado mató a dos gerentes y disparó a un oficial de policía. El autor de los disparos, Martez Abram, se encuentra actualmente en el corredor de la muerte en Mississippi.

Shots fired as gunman robs man in parking lot of Southaven Walmart

(LPL/FOX13) – What started as a robbery outside a Southaven Walmart ended with gunshots ringing through the parking lot, police said.

Southaven police said it happened just after 7 p.m. Thursday at in the parking lot of the Walmart on Southcrest Parkway. Someone robbed a man, then opened fire before taking off, police said.

No one was struck by the gunfire, SPD said.

Police said Thursday night that the gunman was still on the run, adding that the investigation was not complete.

This was the same Walmart where an employee killed two managers and shot a police officer in 2019. The shooter, Martez Abram, is no on death row in Mississippi.
