Funeral home limo hit by train in Bartlett, alderman says

(LPL/FOX13) – Un tren chocó contra una limusina de funeral el jueves por la tarde en Bartlett, según el concejal Kevin Quinn.

Quinn indicó que la limusina se dirigía a un funeral cuando fue impactada por un tren en Stage Road y Sycamore View.

Seis personas resultaron heridas en el accidente, según Quinn. La policía no informó de inmediato sobre la gravedad de las lesiones.

Los equipos de FOX13 en el lugar observaron cómo la limusina se estrellaba contra un árbol cerca de la vía férrea. El lado del pasajero sufrió graves daños.

El accidente también bloqueó la intersección con Yale en Yale Road Park, según la policía.

(LPL/FOX13) – A train crashed into a funeral limo Thursday afternoon in Bartlett, according to Bartlett Alderman Kevin Quinn.

Quinn said the limo was headed to a funeral when it was hit by a train at Stage Road and Sycamore View.

Six people were injured in the crash, according to Quinn. There was no immediate word from police on the extent of those injuries.

FOX13 crews at the scene saw the limo crashed into a tree near the railroad. There was heavy damage done to the passenger side of the limo.

The crash also blocked off the intersection along with Yale at Yale Road Park, according to police.
Quinn and police both urged drivers to avoid the area. Quinn said the investigation at the scene could last until Thursday evening.
