Man accidentally shoots self after trying to kill own mother during dispute
(LPL/FOX13) – Un hombre se disparó tras intentar matar a su madre durante una discusión el lunes por la noche en Orange Mound, según informó la policía.
La Policía de Memphis (MPD) informó que los agentes fueron llamados alrededor de las 10 p.m. a un tiroteo en una vivienda en Select Avenue, frente a la Escuela Primaria Dunbar,en Memphis.
La madre del hombre declaró a la policía que su hijo llegó a casa drogado con marihuana y éxtasis. Dijo que se puso furioso. Luego, supuestamente, comenzó a amenazarla diciéndole: “¡P*ta, te voy a matar!”.
El MPD indicó que el hombre apretó el gatillo, pero el arma se atascó.
La madre dijo que su hijo soltó el arma y, al recogerla, se disparó. La policía indicó que el tiroteo dejó al hombre en estado crítico.
El hombre no pudo hablar con los investigadores “debido a que no estaba coherente”, dijo el MPD.

(LPL/FOX13) -A man shot himself after he tried to kill his mother during a dispute Monday night in Orange Mound, police said.
Memphis Police (MPD) said officers were called around 10 p.m. to a shooting at a home on Select Avenue, which sits across the street from Dunbar Elementary School, in Memphis.
The man’s mother told police that her son came home high on marijuana and ecstasy pills. She said he became “irate.” He then allegedly began threatening her by saying, “B****, I’ll kill you.”
MPD said the man pulled the trigger but the gun jammed, MPD said.
The mother said her son then dropped the gun and when he picked it up, he shot himself, MPD said. Police said the shooting left the man in critical condition.
The man was unable to talk to investigators “due to not being coherent,” MPD said.
