Accidente de avioneta en México dejó cuatro personas fallecidas

(LPL/AFP) – Cuatro personas murieron este jueves tras el desplome de una avioneta en una zona rural del estado mexicano de Puebla. El accidente ocurrió minutos después de su despegue del aeropuerto internacional de esa región, informaron autoridades de seguridad.

El accidente ocurrió al filo de las 12:00 del mediodía cuando la aeronave monomotor cayó en terrenos de cultivo, a un costado de un parque industrial en Santa Ana Xalmimilulco, según detalla un reporte de la Secretaría de Seguridad estatal.

Los tripulantes trataron de maniobrar; sin embargo, “cayó de frente”, dijo Vicente Hernández, un poblador de la zona que aseguró haber visto el accidente. “Intentó y ya estaba bajito”, pero al final cayó en picado sobre el terreno, relató.

La avioneta tenía como destino la ciudad de Poza Rica, en el estado de Veracruz, precisa el reporte policial.

“En el lugar se confirmó el fallecimiento de tres personas, mientras que una resultó lesionada y fue trasladada para recibir atención médica”, informó por su parte la Secretaría de Gobernación (Interior) de Puebla, que horas después confirmó la muerte de la cuarta víctima.

En el sitio del siniestro se desplegó un cordón de seguridad para iniciar las investigaciones. La medida también se empleó para mitigar riesgos debido al derrame de combustible de la avioneta, constató la AFP.

The crew attempted to maneuver the plane; however, “it fell nose-first,” said Vicente Hernández, a local resident who claimed to have witnessed the crash. “It tried, and it was already flying low,” but ultimately, it nose-dived into the ground, he recounted.

The light aircraft was bound for the city of Poza Rica, in the state of Veracruz, the police report specifies.

“At the scene, the deaths of three individuals were confirmed, while one person sustained injuries and was transported to receive medical attention,” reported the Puebla Secretariat of Government (Interior), which hours later confirmed the death of the fourth victim.

A security cordon was established at the crash site to initiate an investigation. This measure was also implemented to mitigate risks posed by a fuel leak from the aircraft, AFP observed.
