Actualización: confirman hallazgo de cuerpo “parcialmente desmembrado” tras doble homicidio en Nutbush

Esta nueva información amplía una nota publicada más temprano, en la que se reportaba la muerte de dos mujeres y dos oficiales heridos durante la intervención policial.

De acuerdo con la Policía de Memphis (MPD), todo comenzó alrededor de la 1:30 a.m., cuando los agentes respondieron a un reporte de disparos en una casa ubicada sobre Helsley Road. Al llegar, encontraron a una primera víctima femenina sin vida. Minutos después, dentro de la misma vivienda, localizaron a una segunda mujer muerta.

Durante las primeras diligencias en la escena, la situación se volvió caótica. Un oficial fue mordido por un perro y otro golpeado en el rostro por una mujer que ingresó a la zona acordonada luego de que intentaran hacerla salir. El agente mordido fue trasladado al hospital en condición no crítica, mientras que la agresora fue detenida y puesta bajo custodia.

Posteriormente, los oficiales identificaron a un familiar masculino como sospechoso, regresaron al domicilio y lograron arrestarlo. Sin embargo, fue durante una tercera inspección de la vivienda cuando los investigadores descubrieron el detalle más perturbador: el cuerpo de una de las víctimas estaba parcialmente desmembrado, según confirmó el U.S. Marshals Service.

El organismo también informó que el Memphis Safe Task Force acudió al lugar y continúa colaborando con las autoridades locales en la investigación, que permanece activa.

Update: Partially Dismembered Body Found After Double Homicide in Nutbush

(LPL) – The U.S. Marshals Service has confirmed a disturbing update in the investigation of a double homicide that occurred early Wednesday morning in the Nutbush neighborhood of Memphis: one of the bodies found inside the home was “partially dismembered.”

This new information expands on an earlier report that two women were found dead and two officers were injured during the police response.

According to the Memphis Police Department (MPD), the incident began around 1:30 a.m. when officers responded to a report of gunfire at a home on Helsley Road. Upon arrival, they discovered the first female victim dead at the scene. Minutes later, a second woman was found dead inside the same residence.

While officers were investigating, the situation turned chaotic. One officer was bitten by a dog, and another was punched in the face by a woman who entered the secured crime scene after being told to leave. The bitten officer was transported to the hospital in non-critical condition, and the woman was taken into custody.

Later, investigators identified a male relative as a suspect, returned to the home, and placed him under arrest. However, during a third visit to the residence, police made the most horrifying discovery yet: one of the bodies was found to be partially dismembered, according to the U.S. Marshals Service.

The agency also confirmed that the Memphis Safe Task Force responded to the scene and is assisting local authorities in the ongoing investigation.
