A cold front will begin to approach Tuesday afternoon and evening, increasing the likelihood of showers and thunderstorms. While precipitation is expected to be scattered and accumulations light, any amount of rain will be welcome after several days of stifling heat. After this system passes, temperatures will begin to moderate, with highs around 90°F (32°C) by Friday, but with much lower humidity, making the atmosphere more bearable.
