Arrestan en República Dominicana a hombre hispano acusado de abusar sexualmente de menores en Tennessee

(LPL) – Un hombre de 32 años buscado en Tennessee por presuntamente agredir sexualmente a menores fue arrestado en República Dominicana y trasladado a Estados Unidos, donde deberá enfrentar cargos estatales, informaron los U.S. Marshals este miércoles.

El sospechoso, identificado como Fernando González Ramírez, ciudadano panameño, enfrenta acusaciones en el condado de Williamson por presuntamente haber abusado sexualmente de varios niños mientras colaboraba en un programa de béisbol juvenil en Franklin, Tennessee, entre 2023 y 2024.

De acuerdo con las autoridades, la investigación comenzó después de que dos menores denunciaran que habían sido víctimas de agresiones sexuales por parte del hombre. Los investigadores sostienen que González Ramírez habría abandonado Tennessee al enterarse de que las autoridades investigaban las acusaciones.

Los U.S. Marshals rastrearon sus movimientos y obtuvieron información de que había viajado a México, Japón y Panamá antes de localizarlo en República Dominicana. Fue detenido el lunes, después de que la oficina internacional de la agencia recibiera información sobre su paradero.

El martes por la noche, el sospechoso fue trasladado en avión a Nueva Jersey, donde permanece a la espera de su traslado a Tennessee para responder por los cargos en su contra.

Hispanic Man Arrested in the Dominican Republic, Accused of Sexually Abusing Minors in Tennessee

(LPL) – A 32-year-old man wanted in Tennessee for allegedly sexually assaulting minors has been arrested in the Dominican Republic and brought to the United States, where he will face state charges, the U.S. Marshals announced on Wednesday.

The suspect, identified as Fernando González Ramírez—a Panamanian citizen—faces charges in Williamson County for the alleged sexual abuse of several children while he was involved with a youth baseball program in Franklin, Tennessee, between 2023 and 2024.

According to authorities, the investigation began after two minors reported that they had been victims of sexual assault by the man. Investigators believe that González Ramírez left Tennessee upon learning that authorities were looking into the allegations.

The U.S. Marshals tracked his movements, gathering information that he had traveled to Mexico, Japan, and Panama before finally locating him in the Dominican Republic. He was taken into custody on Monday, after the agency’s international office received information regarding his whereabouts.

On Tuesday night, the suspect was flown to New Jersey, where he remains in custody pending his transfer to Tennessee to face the charges against him.
