Tennessee Senator Admits to Sending Unsolicited Intimate Photos to Women
(LPL) – Republican State Senator Brent Taylor has acknowledged sending unsolicited intimate photographs, following a journalistic report that brought allegations against him to light just one week before the November 3rd election.
Taylor, who represents Memphis and other parts of Shelby County, confirmed on Tuesday, October 27, that he had sent the images. According to Action News 5, the lawmaker stated that the incidents involved one woman, while the Nashville Scene reported receiving accounts from several individuals who claimed to have received or seen explicit photographs from the senator.
One of the accounts cited by the Nashville Scene indicates that an image was received in 2021, when Taylor was 53 years old.
Addressing the matter, the senator characterized the incidents as “indiscretions of youth,” adding that his wife is aware of what happened and that they have moved past it.
Taylor also questioned the timing of the allegations’ release, asserting that voters are more concerned about the cost of food and gasoline.
The lawmaker is seeking reelection to the State Senate while simultaneously running for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives for Tennessee’s 9th Congressional District, where he is competing against Democrat Justin Pearson and independent candidates Dennis Clark and Michelle Head.
Pearson criticized his opponent, stating that sending unsolicited intimate photographs is unacceptable behavior—particularly for someone who holds public office and claims to profess Christian values.
The case emerged just days before the November 3rd election and could become a new point of controversy during the final stretch of the campaign.
