Exnovio de una mujer abre fuego contra otro hombre en vivienda de Raleigh

(LPL) – Un tiroteo registrado durante la madrugada de este lunes en un vecindario de Raleigh, en Memphis, dejó a un hombre herido y a un sospechoso prófugo, según informó la Policía de Memphis.

De acuerdo con el reporte, los hechos ocurrieron alrededor de las 2:40 a.m. en una vivienda ubicada en la cuadra 3600 de Edgefield Drive, cerca de Frayser-Raleigh Road. Una mujer que se encontraba en el lugar indicó a las autoridades que había llamado a su expareja para conversar.

Mientras ambos hablaban afuera de la casa, la mujer ingresó nuevamente a la vivienda, momento en que otro hombre, posteriormente identificado como la víctima, de 37 años, la sujetó y le preguntó por qué estaba afuera con él. Según la policía, el sospechoso escuchó la interacción, se acercó a la puerta, tocó y preguntó si la mujer se encontraba bien. Tras recibir una respuesta afirmativa, ingresó al domicilio armado con una pistola.

La situación escaló rápidamente cuando el sospechoso apuntó con el arma al hombre dentro de la vivienda. La mujer intentó intervenir, pero durante el forcejeo el sospechoso disparó, hiriendo a la víctima. El hombre cayó al suelo y fue posteriormente trasladado al hospital Regional One en condición no crítica.

Las autoridades indicaron que al momento del tiroteo había dos menores de edad durmiendo dentro de la casa. El sospechoso huyó del lugar en una camioneta GMC blanca y hasta el momento no ha sido detenido.

Woman’s Ex-Boyfriend Opens Fire on Another Man at Raleigh Home

A shooting that occurred early Monday morning in a Raleigh neighborhood in Memphis left one man injured and a suspect at large, according to the Memphis Police Department.

According to the report, the incident took place around 2:40 a.m. at a home located in the 3600 block of Edgefield Drive, near Frayser-Raleigh Road. A woman present at the scene told authorities that she had called her ex-partner over to talk.

While the two were speaking outside the house, the woman went back inside the home; at that moment, another man—later identified as the 37-year-old victim—grabbed her and asked why she was outside with him. According to police, the suspect heard the interaction, approached the door, knocked, and asked if the woman was alright. After receiving an affirmative response, he entered the residence armed with a handgun.

The situation quickly escalated when the suspect pointed the weapon at the man inside the home. The woman attempted to intervene, but during the ensuing struggle, the suspect fired, wounding the victim. The man fell to the ground and was subsequently transported to Regional One Hospital in non-critical condition.

Authorities indicated that, at the time of the shooting, two minors were sleeping inside the house. The suspect fled the scene in a white GMC pickup truck and has not yet been apprehended.
