Hijo de Trump confirma ultimátum a Maduro y revela condiciones del chavismo para abandonar el poder

(LPL/EN) – Donald Trump Jr., hijo mayor del presidente estadounidense Donald Trump, aseguró que Nicolás Maduro recibió un ultimátum de la Casa Blanca para abandonar Venezuela, y reveló las condiciones que el chavismo habría planteado para dejar el país.

Entre ellas, el líder socialista pidió mantener el control del Ejército desde el exilio. Pero esas exigencias fueron rechazadas por la administración estadounidense, que las consideró inaceptables.

Trump Jr. hizo las declaraciones difundidas a través de Rumble y reiteró que su padre, en una llamada telefónica, le dio a Maduro una advertencia que marcaría el tono más duro de la administración estadounidense en meses de presión.

“A Maduro, el líder del cartel, el que perdió las elecciones, mi padre le dio un ultimátum, vete de Venezuela o algo más sucederá. Según se informa, Maduro dijo que se iría, pero solo si podía seguir controlando al ejército mientras estuviera en el exilio, lo cual no es exactamente como se supone que debe funcionar”, expresó.

De acuerdo con Donald Trump Jr. y con fuentes citadas por agencias internacionales, Maduro habría manifestado que abandonaría el poder solo si se cumplían una serie de garantías que incluían:

Poder seguir ejerciendo influencia sobre la Fuerza Armada Nacional Bolivariana desde el exilio.
La eliminación de todas las sanciones impuestas por Estados Unidos contra él, su círculo familiar y más de cien altos funcionarios.
El cierre del caso abierto en su contra ante la Corte Penal Internacional.
Que la vicepresidenta Delcy Rodríguez encabezara un gobierno de transición hasta la convocatoria de nuevas elecciones.
Según Trump Jr., la idea de que Maduro pretendiera controlar al Ejército fuera de Venezuela “no es exactamente como se supone que debe funcionar” un proceso de salida del poder.

Tras la negativa, trascendió que el presidente Trump fijó un plazo de una semana para que Maduro dejara el país acompañado de su familia. El intercambio telefónico entre ambos líderes habría durado aproximadamente 15 minutos.

Among these conditions, the socialist leader demanded to maintain control of the military from exile. However, these demands were rejected by the US administration, which deemed them unacceptable.

Trump Jr. made the statements, which were broadcast on Rumble, and reiterated that his father, in a phone call, gave Maduro a warning that would mark the toughest tone the US administration has taken in months of pressure.

“My father gave Maduro, the cartel leader, the one who lost the elections, an ultimatum: leave Venezuela or something else will happen. Reportedly, Maduro said he would leave, but only if he could continue to control the military while in exile, which isn’t exactly how it’s supposed to work,” he said.

According to Donald Trump Jr. and sources cited by international news agencies, Maduro stated that he would only relinquish power if a series of guarantees were met, including:

The ability to continue exerting influence over the Bolivarian National Armed Forces from exile.

The lifting of all sanctions imposed by the United States against him, his family, and more than one hundred high-ranking officials.

The dismissal of the case against him before the International Criminal Court.

That Vice President Delcy Rodríguez would head a transitional government until new elections could be held. According to Trump Jr., the idea that Maduro intended to control the military from outside Venezuela “is not exactly how a transition process is supposed to work.”

Following the refusal, it was reported that President Trump gave Maduro a week to leave the country with his family. The phone call between the two leaders reportedly lasted approximately 15 minutes.
