(LPL) – Un hombre murió la madrugada de este jueves luego de que el dueño de una vivienda le disparara al sorprenderlo mientras presuntamente intentaba robar su casa en East Memphis, informaron las autoridades.
De acuerdo con el Departamento de Policía de Memphis (MPD), los hechos ocurrieron alrededor de las 3:29 a.m. en la cuadra 1200 de Robin Hood Lane, en el área de Sherwood Forest. Los oficiales respondieron inicialmente a una llamada por un merodeador y, minutos después, a un reporte de disparos.
La policía indicó que el residente escuchó a una persona ingresar a la vivienda a través de una ventana y, al enfrentar la situación, realizó varios disparos. El presunto ladrón fue hallado en el patio del inmueble con múltiples heridas de bala.
El hombre fue trasladado a un hospital cercano, donde posteriormente fue declarado muerto. MPD confirmó que el individuo estaba intentando cometer un robo cuando fue baleado por el dueño de la casa.

Man kills suspected burglar during attempted robbery at East Memphis home
(LPL) – A man died early Thursday morning after a homeowner shot him while he was allegedly attempting to break into the residence in East Memphis, authorities said.
According to the Memphis Police Department (MPD), the incident occurred around 3:29 a.m. in the 1200 block of Robin Hood Lane, in the Sherwood Forest area. Officers initially responded to a prowler call, followed shortly by a report of gunshots.
Police said the resident heard someone entering the home through a window and fired several shots. The alleged burglar was found in the courtyard of the property with multiple gunshot wounds.
The man was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. MPD confirmed the individual was attempting to commit a burglary when he was shot by the homeowner.
